Although this is an epilogue or ending, there is an old saying that what is past is prologue. There is a magnificent prayer from St John Eudes on January 1, 2002, the feast of the Solemnity of Mary. This prayer is taken from the Magnificat 1/02.

The below prayer can be said on the first day of the year, the last day of the year or on every day of the year. It is a sublime prayer that reveals the mind and heart of John toward Mary. He is a favorite saint for many and showed great concern and actions toward the sick and sinners.

John taught untold number of missions, established seminaries and was the founder of religious communities. John is largely responsible for initiating and popularizing devotion to Mary.

THE MOTHER OF GOD AND THE NEW YEAR (2002)

O BLESSED VIRGIN, MOTHER OF MY GOD AND SAVIOR, I HONOR AND REVERE YOU IN THE FIRST MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE. I HONOR AND REVERE THE DISPOSITONS OF YOUR HOLY SOUL AND ALL THAT TOOK PLACE IN YOU AT THAT TIME.

YOU BEGAN IMMEDIATELY, O HOLY VIRGIN, TO LOVE AND GLORIFY GOD MOST PERFECTLY, AND FROM THAT FIRST MOMENT TO THE LAST OF YOUR LIFE, YOU DID EVER LOVE AND GLORIFY HIM MORE AND MORE. AS FOR ME, IN SPITE OF ALL THE YEARS I HAVE BEEN IN THIS WORLD, I HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO LOVE AND SERVE HIM AS I SHOULD.

O MOTHER OF MERCY, BEG YOUR DIVINE SON TO HAVE MERCY ON ME. ATONE FOR MY FAILINGS, OFFERING HIM ON MY BEHALF ALL THE LOVE AND GLORY YOU GAVE HIM, TO SATISFY FOR MY NEGLECT IN LOVING AND GLORIFYING HIM. GRANT THAT I MAY SHARE IN YOUR SURPASSING LOVE FOR HIM, AND IN THE FIDELITY OF THAT GREAT MATERNAL L0VE. PRAY FOR ME, THAT HE MAY GIVE ME THE GRACE TO BEGIN AT LEAST NOW, TO LOVE HIM PERFECTLY, AND THAT ALL THAT SHALL TAKE PLACE DURING THIS NEW YEAR (2003), AND ALL MY LIFE, MAY BE CONSECRATED TO HIS GLORY AND YOUR HONOR.

O ANGELS, AND SAINTS OF JESUS CHRIST, PRAY FOR ME, THAT OUR LOVING SAVIOR MAY GIVE ME NEW GRACES AND NEW LOVE FOR HIM, TO DEVOTE THIS YEAR AND MY WHOLE LIFE, PURELY AND SOLELY TO THE SERVICE OF HIS GLORY AND LOVE-SAINT JOHN EUDES

THE DOCTORS ARE ONLY A SMALL PART OF THE HEAVENLY COURT, ALBEIT, A MOST SIGNIFICANT PART. WITH MARY OUR SISTER AS THE QUEEN OF THE CELESTIAL COURT AND HER SPOUSE, JOSEPH, AS THE PATRON OF THE CHURCH, EVERY HUMAN BEING IS A PART OF THE CHURCH AND WE ARE A PART OF THE CHRIST'S MYSTICAL BODY EN ROUTE TO GOD'S PARADISE TO SHARE HIS KINGDOM. MANY BEFORE US ENJOY ITS SPLENDOR NOW AND THEY PETITION AND PRAY FOR US TO REACH THAT SAME DESTINY AND DREAM.

Lest we forget, all creatures can be role models for us in their respective vocations and professions. When we allow God to guide us daily, the Supreme Being will lead us to happiness and holiness. God imparts blessings and gifts if we plead for them and cooperate with God's goodness. All saints and souls in the below alphabetize list reflect God's infinite blessings and bounty.

God lavishes His goodness and is moved by infinite care and concern in assisting all of creation. All creatures and even those who turn away from God are called, sought, pursued and redeemed by the Redeemer King when they cooperate. God longs for us to long for Him. The Mighty One wants to steep all in genuine holiness and God's peace despite hatred and terror. The list below may be helpful in identifying and thinking about seriously. Also, reading the lives of the saints bring us tremendous blessings. The book, Secular Saints by Joan Carroll Cruz among others, is listed in the sources. These are people like ourselves, not in religious orders or a part of the clergy.

THE DOCTORAL EPILOGUE, LISTED BELOW, IS A FITTING TRIBUTE AND PRAISE TO GOD'S GIFTS, GRACES AND GOODNESS IN ALL CREATURES AND CREATION. ALL THINGS ARE BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE YOU HAVE MADE THEM, EXCLAIMS ST AUGUSTINE, BUT YOU WHO MADE ALL THINGS ARE INEXPRESSIBLY MORE BEAUTIFUL. HIS BEAUTY IS EVERY ANCIENT AND EVER NEW.

All saints, spirits and souls in the below alphabetized list representing the 26 letters of the English alphabet. This reflects categories of people of God's infinite blessings and bounty in all ways of life from the unborn through seniors and beyond our understanding.

The below 26 list is a litany reading and prayer. After reading each category, one can say: pray for us, or help us with God's mercy, or we beg you for God's love, friendship and peace, or simply, I love you. There are so many ways that one can pray and petition.

Litany prayers can be sung, said in silence, alone, or in quiet contemplation with a group. Like the rosary they are official prayers, personal prayers and greatly inspiring prayers that raises our hearts and minds to whomever we address or cause that we espouse. They are a means of untold graces and gifts from God and these prayers have the power to transform us to be everything that God wants for us and what he desires that we be. They help us to be motivated, focused and grateful in remembering God’s favors, healings and untold benefit from the Almighty. Prayers pour grace and mercy into our souls and into the mystical body of God, especially who needs it the most.

They are frequently Church prayers but anyone or any religion or non-religion can voice or be involved in litany prayers by a resonant or repetitive chant to help them concentrate their attention and energy to a particular person, subject or intention.

JESUS CHRIST IS AN EXTRAORDINARY MODEL FOR US AND THE ONE SOLITARY LIFE WRITTEN BELOW IS A CLASSICAL PRAYER AND STATEMENT TO RECALL AND REFLECT.

    ONE SOLITARY LIFE

"Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village. He worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty, and then for three years he was an itinerant preacher. He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put his foot inside a big city. He never traveled 200 miles from the place where he was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but himself. While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied him. He was turned over to his enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While he was dying his executioners gambled for the only piece of property he had on earth - his coat. When he was dead, he was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend. Nineteen long centuries have come and gone and today he is the centerpiece of the human race and the leader of the column of progress. I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon the earth as powerfully as has that one solitary life." -Author Unknown-
